Georgia’s Hali Flickinger has been chosen as the Southeastern Conference’s Female Swimmer of the Week, according to an announcement Tuesday by the league office.
[break] [break] Flickinger, a junior from Spring Grove, Pa., won three individual events as No. 1 Georgia won at No. 7 Tennessee last Saturday. She claimed the 200 freestyle in 1:46.99, the 200 backstroke in 1:56.77 and the 200 individual medley in 1:59.94. Her 200 freestyle time marked a career best, the 200 individual medley time was a season best, and each reached the NCAA provisional qualifying standards. Behind Flickinger, Georgia improved to 10-0 and concluded the SEC portion of its season at 5-0.
[break] [break] This marks the second time this season that Flickinger has been named the SEC Swimmer of the Week. [break] [break] Georgia’s swimming and diving teams will return to action on Saturday at noon as they entertain Emory. The 17 seniors will be recognized in a pre-meet ceremony
