North Carolina @ Cal (-10.5) | O/U 47.5
Friday, Oct. 17, 10:30PM
The Chapel Bill experiment has utterly flopped. The downhill spiral doesn’t just end. It will keep heading downward until a change is made at the top. Cal has been one of the more underrated stories in college football. Cal quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele is one of the most exciting players on the west coast; however, he is quite erratic, throwing nine touchdowns to seven interceptions. Ignore that… Cal will dominate UNC as the Heels travel across the country. Hunker down with the Golden Bears on Friday night at -10.5.
Georgia Tech @ Duke (-2.5) | O/U 61
Saturday, Oct. 18, Noon
Georgia Tech led by Brent Key is one of the hardest nosed teams in the country. It all starts with quarterback Haynes King. King has no regard for his body, lunging himself into contact every single play. The Yellow Jackets should be 11-0 entering their rivalry week matchup with Georgia. The rambling wreck isn’t slowing down this weekend as slim underdogs. Hunker down with Tech to cover +2.5. I’m feeling a Tech win in Durham.
LSU @ Vanderbilt (-2.5) | O/U 49.5
Saturday, Oct. 18, Noon
LSU is off an emotional win over South Carolina. Vanderbilt is off a bye after the crushing loss to Alabama two weeks ago. A well-rested Commodore team with Diego Pavia at quarterback might be one of the most dangerous ball clubs in America. LSU still has no rushing attack, so give me Vandy. Hunker down with Pavia and the Commodores in Nashville to get a massive win over LSU and keep their name in the conversation for SEC Championship contention.
Oklahoma (-4.5) @ South Carolina | O/U 43
Saturday, Oct. 18, 12:45PM
Oklahoma was exposed in the Red River Shootout this past weekend. On the other hand, just as LSU got the emotional win, South Carolina had an emotional loss to the Tigers. The Gamecocks are in wounded animal mode and looking to get a marquee win over a big time brand. Hunker down with a Gamecocks cover at +4.5… don’t be surprised with a USC win in Williams-Brice Stadium.
Washington State @ Virginia (-17.5) | O/U 56.5
Saturday, Oct. 18, 6:30PM
Virginia is one of the hottest teams in America right now. Despite Washington State keeping it close with Ole Miss last weekend, the Cougars are terrible. After Wazoo travels from the west coast to the east coast, they’ll return with another loss, a big one at that. Hunker down with the Cavaliers to win big and cover -17.5.
Tennessee @ Alabama (-8) | O/U 60.5
Saturday, Oct. 18, 7:30PM
The third Saturday in October. Tennessee has won two out of the last three over the Crimson Tide, but both victories came in Neyland. Alabama doesn’t lose to the Vols in Bryant-Denny. Plus, the Crimson Tide is playing like one of the best teams in the country right now. I’m going to keep picking Bama until they prove me wrong. They pushed for us last weekend, and this weekend, they’re going to add a huge W to the win column. Hunker down with the Tide to cover -8 against the Vols in Tuscaloosa.
