Isaiah Wynn answered questions about the performance of the offensive line with a big smile on his face. After a season that saw his position group draw the ire of both fans and coaches, having Coach Smart consistently praise the offensive line clearly is a point of pride for Wynn.

When asked about the unit’s success, Isaiah responded:

“I think it’s good. I think now that we’ve just got the running game going – the offense is clicking now. It is also helping the defense just to see where they need to fix their stuff…”

“We got eager guys – no offense to the past guys – we’re just hungry, you know what I’m saying. We got more younger guys. I feel like a lot of younger guys that have got something to prove.”

When asked who in the younger group have stood out, Wynn said:

“Probably Pat (Allen) and Solomon (Kindley). Them two are the youngest guys; they have been doing a good job and also Dyshon Sims playing right tackle. His transition out to the right tackle has been good too.

Georgia, like most schools around the country, is implementing a faster paced (higher tempo) in its offense. Wynn said that the transition has been tough for the big guys up front.

“It’s been kind of rough for the big guys. We’re not too much used to covering down – chasing the ball – but every practice you can see that we’ve been working on it and the coaches have just been preaching about transitioning, breaking the huddle faster and getting to the line of scrimmage faster. So we are working on a daily.”
