A. J. Green Honored By Augusta Bulldog Club

A.J. Green

A.J. Green has given back to UGA. The Cincinnati Bengal’s wideout and his wife, Miranda, endowed three need-based scholarships at the University. Last night the Greater Augusta Bulldog Club honored Green at the annual season kickoff meeting.

Augusta mayor Hardie Davis presented A.J. with an A.J. Green Day proclamation and Loran Smith presented Green with an Augusta Bulldog Club Award.

Green took time to answer a few questions prior to his appearance on the podium. When asked about coaching changes at UGA Green replied:

“Any time you bring in someone like Kirby Smart, it’s awfully good. You saw what he did at Alabama. He’s coming from a couple of national championships. Bringing that history and tradition over to Georgia is unbelievable.”

Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.
