Georgia’s J.J. Frazier was tabbed SEC Player of the Week on Monday, two days after his record-setting performance in the Bulldogs’ victory over Georgia Tech.

Frazier, a 5-10, 155-pound, junior from Glennville, Ga., scored 35 points against the Yellow Jackets, the highest output ever by a Georgia player against Tech. He connected on 9-of-14 (.643) shots from the floor, including 6-of-9 (.667) from 3-point range, and 11-of-12 (.917) from the free throw line.

Frazier also dished out four assists, meaning he had a hand in 43 (57.3 percent) of the Bulldogs’ 75 points in the contest. He scored 22 of second-half points and converted on 8-of-8 attempts at the line in the final 1:29 to ice the game’s outcome.

Frazier also was named SEC Player of the Week last season following a career-high 37 points at Misssissippi State. He is Georgia’s second Player of the Week honoree this season. Kenny Gaines was a co-Player of the Week on Nov. 23 after his 35-point performance versus Murray State.

Georgia will return to action tomorrow night when the Bulldogs host Clemson at Stegeman Coliseum at 6 p.m.

Single-game tickets for Georgia Basketball are $15 and can be purchased in advance at the UGA Ticket Office in the Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall tomorrow from 8:30-4:30 or at the Stegeman Coliseum box office at beginning at 5 p.m.
