UGA safety J.R. Reed talks about the Dawgs’ defense during a postgame interview after Georgia wins it’s final home game of the 2019 season, 19-13, over Texas A&M.
Are there any concerns over giving up double-digit leads in the fourth quarter to opponents?
“We just find a way to win, you know. Just win baby, just like Al Davis said. We Just got to find a way to win,” said Reed. “I’m just so happy right now. We got to get better…”
What are your thoughts on the defense holding Texas A&M to minus-one rushing yards?
“Negative one. You got to get that right,” smiled Reed. “Just everyone doing their job… No one caring about sacks. Just like I said before, everyone is staying in their gap.”
Not on the video, but Reed was asked about the pregame Senior Day ceremony, who was with him on the field, and what emotions he felt and went through.
“My mom and sister were here; my auntie, my dad, and my brother. They were all out there happy for me. My mom probably cried afterwards,” said J.R. Reed about the pregame Senior Day ceremonies. “It was just really exciting. It was a special moment … It’s just pure joy to be a part of this and to be a part of a program like this.”
