The Bulldogs travel to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech at Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday for some Clean Old-Fashioned Hate; so, who are the Jackets to watch?

 

TAQUON MARSHALL (QB, #16)

 
This 5-10, 185-pound junior won the Tech quarterback job this season and has evolved into one of the most dangerous running quarterbacks the Jackets have ever had. Marshall went over the 1,000-yard rushing mark against Duke over the weekend and has also thrown the ball well enough in GT’s triple-option attack to keep defenses honest, as evidenced by his two long scoring passes in the 28-22 upset of No. 17 Virginia Tech two weekends ago. The Bulldog defense simply has to prevent the cat-quick Marshall from breaking off long runs on Saturday.
 

KIRVONTE BENSON (B-Back, #30)

 
Almost dead even with Marshall at the top of the Yellow Jackets’ rushing stats with 930 yards entering the Duke game, Benson has excelled as Tech’s B-Back this season. The 5-9, 211-pound redshirt sophomore hits the hole on the dive play with power and also has the speed to run well on the edges. The first step in slowing the triple option is to stop the dive man and thus the Georgia defense must be on point against Mr. Benson Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
 
 

VICTOR ALEXANDER (LB, #9)

 
This 5-10, 235-pound junior is Georgia Tech’s leading tackler this season, showing 53 total stops as the Jackets moved against Duke. Alexander also has several quarterback sacks and must not be allowed to penetrate into the Bulldogs’ offensive backfield Saturday and stop the play before it gets started.
 

COREY GRIFFIN (SAF, #14)

 
Griffin, a 6-2, 199-pound senior safety who led the Jackets in total tackles last season with 82, is also among Tech’s top five tacklers this season and plays the pass equally well. The leader of the GT secondary, Griffin will be primed to stymie both the Bulldogs’ passing and run games come Saturday on Grant Field.
