During postgame interviews, quarterback Jake Fromm discusses Georgia’s 19-13 win over Texas A&M on Saturday in Athens, GA.
Can you play like this and win the conference championship?
“I think, us, as a football team, our defense is playing great. I think we’re so close on offense,” said Fromm. “I think we’re inches away. We’re right there. I was telling Solomon (Kindley) there in the locker room, ‘Guys, we’re so close. I think it’s only a matter of time.’ We just need another opportunity.”
On taking and missing on those big shots:
“If I wanna be as good as I wanna be,” said Fromm. “I’ve gotta hit those shot. It was still early in the game, still a little wet and throwing with the glove on. New for me but we’ve gotta have them. We’ve gotta capitalize.”
On the heated exchange with D’Andre Swift:
“I think it’s just two competitors that want to compete and do the right thing for the offense,” said Fromm. “The clock is ticking, they showed a blitz there at the last second and I didn’t have enough time to change it. That’s part of the four-minute scenario, trying to milk out the clock and two guys want to be really competitive and win a football game.”
