Georgia’s junior quarterback Jake Fromm fielded question after the Bulldogs 30-6 season-opening win over Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN on Saturday night. UGA opened the game with three straight touchdowns, two in the first quarter, to jump out to 21-0, but then only managed three field goals afterward.

When Fromm was asked what he thought worked and what didn’t, he felt every play that was called and ran should have worked but that the players didn’t execute it properly.

“I mean, really, I think we’re going to feel as an offense when we go back and look at it, we’re going to feel that every play we called or lined up or checked to should have worked,” said Jake Fromm. “We just didn’t execute in the second half as much as we really wanted to, but it is what it is.”

But Fromm believes that despite the lack of execution of the play calling, the Georgia offense can get better.

“It’s football. It’s the first game. We’re going to take it. We’re going to look at it,” said Jake Fromm. “We’re going to assess it. We’re going to say, hey, we’re going to get better at it this week, move on, and go play the next opponent.”
