JD Bertrand decided to de-commit from the Bulldogs on Friday night. He is the third 2019 commit that reopened their recruitment this week. Bertrand took to Twitter and made the announcement. He followed Jadon Haselwood and Jalen Perry who both decommitted earlier this week.
“After prayer and consideration, I have decided to de-commit from the University of Georgia. Thank you to Coach Smart, Coach Schumann, the UGA staff, and the fans for their support throughout my high school career. I will be reopening my recruitment. I will not be doing any interviews at this time. Thank you,” Bertrand said on his personal Twitter.
Despite losing the four-star linebacker, Georgia stays at No. 3 in the rankings and now has 16 commits. The Bulldogs average per commitment is 93.72. For the 2019 class, Georgia still has four 5-stars, nine 4-stars, and three 3-stars.
