There was a lot of drama this past Saturday, especially in the mighty Southeastern Conference. Texas A&M had its biggest comeback of all time, Oklahoma edged Alabama in Tuscaloosa, and Georgia pulled away from Texas in Athens. Two more weeks remain in the regular season and all the contenders are hungry for those precious playoff spots.

1. Ohio State – The Buckeyes were dominant against UCLA, a game that not that long ago would have been a famous Rose Bowl matchup. Ohio State’s defense has been tremendous all season. Rutgers heads to The Horseshoe this weekend.

2. Texas A&M – The Aggies had an amazing comeback to beat South Carolina and improve to 10-0 on the season. The Gamecocks jumped to a 30-3 lead, but Texas A&M chalked up four straight touchdowns and avoided the upset. They host Samford Saturday.

3. Indiana – The Hoosiers had an early battle with Wisconsin, but then turned it on. Indiana wound up with a 31-7 victory, and the Hoosiers are a perfect 11-0. What a story they are. They are off this week, then have Purdue the Friday after Thanksgiving.

4. Georgia – The Bulldogs were one of the most impressive teams of the week last Saturday, topping Texas 35-10. Georgia is 9-1, and done with SEC play, posting a 7-1 league mark. The Dogs host Charlotte this Saturday, then the Yellow Jackets loom.

5. Ole Miss – The Rebels dominated the second half and came back to beat Florida 34-24 in Oxford. There were a lot of eyes on Lane Kiffin. Ole Miss wrapped up a playoff berth, improving to 10-1. They are off Saturday and then head to Starkville for the Egg Bowl.

6. Texas Tech – The Red Raiders are rolling. On the heels of their impressive victory over Brigham Young, Texas Tech pounded Central Florida 48-9. The Red Raiders are now 10-1, atop the Big XII, and off this week. Then it’s a trip to West Virginia.

7. Oregon – The Ducks posted a nice victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers 42-13 Friday night and are now 9-1 on the year. Oregon is now set for a showdown against the Southern Cal Trojans. USC is a sneaky 8-2 on the year, this one is big.

8. Tech – The Yellow Jackets fell behind Boston College, but had a furious comeback and edged Boston College 36-34. Brent Key’s team is an impressive 9-1, and they know how to win. Next up for the Yellow Jackets is a visit from the Pitt Panthers.

9. Oklahoma – The Sooners posted a signature victory over Alabama, beating the Crimson Tide 23-21 in Tuscaloosa. That’s two straight seasons that Oklahoma has beaten Alabama. The Sooners are now 8-2, and off to CoMo to play the Missouri Tigers.

10. Alabama – The Crimson Tide, plagued by turnovers, fell to Oklahoma 23-21 at Bryant Denny Stadium. Alabama is now 8-2 and is still in the mix for everything. The Tide will host Eastern Illinois in a tuneup this week, then it’s the Iron Bowl at Auburn.

11. Brigham Young – The Cougars took care of TCU Saturday night, upping the record to 9-1 this season. BYU is 9-1, losing only to Texas Tech this season. Next up is a tough game against the Cincinnati Bearcats on the road. UCF is the regular season finale.

12. James Madison – The Dukes hang on as the best looking Group of Five team for another week. James Madison had a fantastic performance against Appalachian State, pounding the Mountaineers 58-10, to improve to 9-1. Next up is a visit from Washington State.
