Believe what you wish about all the rumors that circulated over the past few weeks. There sure appears to have been changes made in the approach and attitude inside Butts-Mehre. Ask your brother-in-law’s best friend’s cousin what happened or just be content to know that changes have been made and the football program is going to have the resources to compete at the highest level.

ATHENS——– University of Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt will receive a contract extension and salary increase according to UGA head football coach Mark Richt.Pruitt had two years left on his original three-year contract at an annual salary of $850,000. His new deal adds a year back to the original contract giving him three years at a new salary of $1.3 million per year.
“Our defense has performed overall at a very high level this season and much of it is due to Jeremy’s leadership,” said Richt. “It’s important that we solidify his tenure at Georgia and continue to build our defense in all areas including recruiting, coaching and player development.”
