The term “playmaker” is most often used by fans and media to describe a player who has the ability to touch the ball or make a spectacular play in space. Offensive and defensive linemen are seldom considered playmakers, but Jim Chaney is redefining the term.
A playmaker, you know, that’s interesting. I think people associate playmakers with people who are creative when they’ve got the ball in their hands. I think Isaiah Wynn is a tremendous playmaker in the front… He makes plays when I don’t expect them to against leverage on the D-lineman he shouldn’t. So he’s a great playmaker.
Makes sense to me!
