Former University of Georgia fullback Jimmy Womack died Tuesday morning from complications following surgery. He was 56.

[su_spacer size=”40″] A native of Warner Robins, Ga., and graduate of Warner Robins High School, he was a four-year letterman for the Bulldogs from 1977-80.  During his career, he played in 41 games.  He rushed for a career total of 1,031 yards and four touchdowns on 246 carries.   He also caught 11 passes for 150 yards.
[su_spacer size=”40″] He started all 12 games for the Bulldogs during the 1980 undefeated national championship season in 1980.
