The momentum for Georgia Bulldogs football recruiting continues. Jordan James, a 4-Star 2022 running back out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, has committed to the ‘G’. James becomes the third commitment for the Dawgs in the class of 2022 in the last 5 days. Jordan is the first running back taken by the Dawgs in the class of 2022 and overall the 11th commitment in the class.
A Zoom call with Kirby Smart and the Georgia staff definitely built momentum for the red and black in the recruitment of James back in February. When I last spoke with James, shortly after that Zoom visit with the Dawgs, the 5’10” 205 pound multi-faceted running back alluded that everything was pointing in the right direction for Georgia. In that Zoom, there were elements of UGA’s presentation that Jordan James was a big fan of. “I loved the new facilities that are being built. I love that they want you to succeed outside of football and I loved getting to meet everyone,” said James. The Oakland High School standout that helped lead his team to a state championship and eclipsed 1700 yards rushing this year also listed two other key elements to his consideration of Georgia as his possible collegiate home at the time. “I like the history of Georgia, especially for running backs. Me and Coach McGee have a solid relationship also,” shared James.
In Jordan James, the Dawgs are getting a running back that can do a little bit of everything. He runs with power, has excellent speed, and, though underutilized as a receiver at his high school, can certainly produce as a pass catcher.
