OFFENSE
Jamaree Sayler – The 6-3, 320 pound Junior from Pace Academy led an offensive line in a dominating performance against South Carolina. After a season-low eight yards rushing one week ago, Sayler used his size and speed to pancake and physically push defenders out of the way, as the Bulldogs racked up over 300 yards on the ground. Jamaree has solidified the left tackle position and has become a leader not only on the O-Line but the team. His play helped solidify Georgia’s offensive performance which showed the most balance of the year. Two more dominating performances will lead Georgia to an 8-2 record and a New Year’s bowl game.
DEFENSE
Lewis Cine – The sophomore from Cedar Hill, Texas was thrown in the fire early this season due to injury. His commitment to learning the position is only matched by his determination to master the position. The safety is the quarterback of the defense and Lewis is learning on the run and brings a physical presence to the middle of the field. He will knock you out or steal the ball and that’s what makes him very special. With the experience he is gaining now Lewis will be a factor for years to come in a secondary that is growing and becoming better every game.
Special Teams
Kearis Jackson – For the second time this year Kearis had another dominating performance in special teams play. A combined 117 yards on kickoff and punt returns makes him an easy pick for player of the week. His sure hands provide comfort when returning punts and his ability to go north and south makes him a threat on every return. His athletic ability makes him a sure bet to end up in the end zone in one of our remaining games on either a punt return or kickoff return. Just give him the ball and he will do the rest.
