Has there been a subtle change in Kirby Smart’s public statements about his 2017 Bulldogs? Granted, he his not talking about competing for championships, but in his post-game statement prior to the Q&A, he mentioned becoming “the team we need to be” and getter better “to get where we what to go.” That sure sounds like an organization that is beginning to think beyond winning the next play.
Kirby said in his statement that the offense “grew up” this week. All of Bulldog Nation is going through a growth spurt also. The mindset is changing in the base just as there has been a culture change inside the locker room. Everyone in Red and Black is coming to the realization that Georgia’s current success is a sustainable process based on sound winning principles.
