Kirby Smart was not happy about the play of his defense during Saturday’s scrimmage. However, the flip-side is that the offense looked much better and that improvement resulted from the offensive line being “more productive.”
Coach Smart also talked about Tyler Catalina, the graduate transfer offensive tackle who will arrive this summer.
I like his maturity. He is a very mature kid, and he’s a competitor. He’s got a really good body type for left tackle, and we look for him to come in and compete right away.
It’s not like a deal where you can come in and say you’re coming in fourth string. You’ve got to come in and compete and get out there and challenge.
