Class of 2016 Savannah Christian five-star wide receiver, Demetris Robertson visited UGA last weekend with his family. The long awaited visit to Athens went well according to reports, but Robertson’s recruitment is not over.
Robertson signed financial aid paperwork with UGA during his visit, but he has also signed the same forms with, at least, two other schools. Financial aid agreements bind the school to the recruit, but a recruit may enter into as many FAA agreements as he wishes.
Robertson’s enrollment at UGA would cap a successful recruiting effort for Smart, who was named head coach in December and had to salvage the 2016 class. He was able to hold most committed players while gaining commitments from a few 2016 and 2017 players who were previously committed to other schools.
