After the Vanderbilt game, Coach Kirby Smart held a press conference where he addressed the team’s mentality. The head coach spoke about how the team enjoys making opponents quit.

I think that’s the mentality of this team,” Smart says. “It’s really not a scoreboard deal, its like we really just want to see if we can make the other team quit. And if you can try your best to make them quit and you start seeing the falling in of the defensive line, the pushing, the movement you know that you got them where you want them. That’s kind of what our guys look to enjoy that moment. That’s when you know you win your box.”

Smart said that it’s not the scoreboard that matters, it’s if they can make the other team quit. He says once they notice the movement, then it is right where you want the other team to be. Smart seems to have this mentality firmly implanted into the demeanor of this 2017 Bulldog team. Can Georgia continue to enforce their will on opponents and make them want to quit, especially as bigger SEC rivals await on the schedule?
