After the Georgia football team held their 14th practice of the spring, Head Coach Kirby Smart talks about Thursday afternoon’s performance by the Bulldogs and the squad’s progress so far as they get ready for their final practice and scrimmage, Saturday’s G-Day game.
Coach Smart started off his press conference by saying “the kids had good energy and good juice today” and says he’s excited about G-Day. Kirby went over the format for G-Day, and he gave updates on injuries, stating that some players may not be available for Saturday’s spring game, like offensive lineman Ben Cleveland and tight end Jeb Blazevich. As far as which players do participate in the G-Day game, Ron Courson will have a big role determining who gets to play. Coach Smart also discussed UGA’s change in policy regarding the reporting of injuries. Kirby expects a big day on Saturday and that there will be a large contingent of recruiting prospects visiting.
