Lady Dogs’ Scoring Woes Lead to Fourth Straight Loss

Georgia vs. South Carolina tipoff
Georgia vs. South Carolina tipoff

The Lady Dogs were in this game for the most part but the No. 4 ranked Gamecocks pulled away at the end in this offensive struggle.

The Lady Dogs have now lost four straight games and they were very much in this one until the last few minutes. The main struggle for the Lady Dogs in this game was their inability to knock down shots, which their opponents also struggled with until the final minutes of the fourth quarter.

The Lady Dogs’ leading scorers were Pachis Roberts and Mackenzie Engram, who both had 10. Other than Engram and Roberts, there was a struggle to get any more offensive production as the Lady Dogs went 20 of 54 from the field.

The one Lady Dog who is really in a slump is sophomore Caliya Robinson, who went scoreless in this game as she was 0-6 from the field and has only totaled four points combined in the Lady dogs’ last two games. Robinson was the Lady Dogs’ leading rebounder with 7 before she failed out with 3:06 left in the fourth quarter, but they will need for her to get out of her slump if they hope to get back to their winning ways.

The Lady Dogs will face their next opponent on the road on Jan. 29th at 3 p.m. as they hope to right the ship against another conference team in the Ole Miss Rebels.
