LSU’s head coach, Ed Orgeron was the final coach to address the media on day one of the 2018 SEC Football Media Days. When asked about the upcoming Georgia versus LSU matchup, Orgeron did nothing to downplay the hype surrounding it.
“That night Tiger Stadium is going to be alive, it’s going to be loud,” Orgeron said about the upcoming October 13 game. “There will be a lot of tailgating. It should be a great college matchup in the SEC.”
The matchup will be the first time since 2008 that the Bulldogs traveled to Death Valley. Georgia defeated Tigers that game when Matthew Stafford threw for two touchdowns and ran for another. However despite defeating the Tigers then, LSU is 82-11 in Saturday night home games since 2000.
It’ll be the Bulldogs first meeting with LSU since 2013 when Georgia won 44-41 in Sanford Stadium. This game is one every college football fan needs to circle as it could be one of the best games of the season.
Below, check out the YouTube clip of Orgeron’s full interview.
