After the Razorbacks lose to Georgia in Athens on Saturday night, 99-89, Arkansas head coach Eric Musselman discusses the game in this postgame presser.

Coach Musselman on Arkansas’s defensive effort:

“Number one, [Georgia] can score the ball really well. We had poor transition defense. The inconsistency of playing phenomenally at home to start the last game, we played really poorly for three-straight road games. It’s hard to win on the road in this conference. It’s hard to win on the road in any conference. You’ve got to come out from the opening tip and be aggressive and play with toughness. I thought Georgia did a great job. We dug ourselves too big a hole early in the game, and then [had] foul trouble with our bigs. It’s every game.”

Coach Musselman on Georgia’s three-point shooting:

“We knew [Rayshaun] Hammonds could shoot the ball. I just thought our contesting of the three was not as good as it has been. I thought [Sahvir] Wheeler did a good job of getting into the teeth of the defense early and pushing the ball in transition…Anybody who scouts or watches games knows that [Tyree] Crump can shoot the ball. We just weren’t close enough. We’re number one in the nation at defending the three, and tonight we didn’t get to guys as quickly as we possibly could.”

Coach Musselman on Anthony Edwards:

“He’s a great player. I don’t know what you want me to say. His combination of strength, speed, his pull-up jumper off the bounce he can just rise over people. He’s an incredible player with an incredibly bright future. Having coached in that league, meaning the next level, he’s got an NBA body right now. He can dribble-drive in traffic at the next level, take contact, finish through contact. You watch a guy on film and he’s really good and then you watch him live, just his explosiveness. He’s got NBA athleticism and NBA strength.”
