The Georgia Men’s Basketball team hosted Morehouse on Wednesday night beating them 86-72. However, it wasn’t the usual game for the Dawgs as the bench scored a season-high 52 points. Tyree Crump, Jordan Harris, and Kenny Paul Geno all had career-high nights coming off the bench, and all scored double digit points.

Tyree Crump scored 16 points for the Dawgs and had a perfect night shooting. He shot 4-4 from the field, 2-2 from the 3-point line, and went 6-6 from the free throw line. Jordan Harris put up 11 points on the night. He shot 4-5 from the field and 2-2 from the 3-point line. He went 1-2 from the foul line and notched a couple of steals on defense.

After being sick in Kansas, this was the first game that Kenny Paul Geno finally felt good out on the court. He was one of the leading scorers for the night with 15 points. 12 of those points came from behind the arc as he made 4-out-of-5 from three-point land.

However, this wasn’t Georgia’s best game. They came out with a slow start, and it took them a while to get it going. The turning point of the ballgame was at the beginning of the second half. The ally-hoop from J.J. Frazier to Mike Edwards got the team motivated to finish the game out strong. The team shot 52.7 percent from the floor and made 11-of-22 from the 3-point line.

“We are never going to have an assigned third scorer. We are just going to get more guys to score the ball. Kenny Paul Geno, who was really sick in Kansas City, finally was feeling good and we were able to get him back on the floor. He was playing really good. Tyree found a few balls go into the basket, which he needed to see. Jordan gave us a punch here and there. We put 86 points on the board, and our two best players didn’t play great,” Coach Mark Fox said.

The Men’s Basketball team will return to Athens on Sunday, December 4th to host Marquette in their annual black-out game. Tipoff will be at 2 p.m. ET, and the team urges for fans to wear black.
