The Georgia Bulldogs will face tournament host Cal State Fullerton in the opening round of the 2017 Wooden Legacy. The bracket for the eight-team event over the Thanksgiving weekend was announced on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs and Titans will meet at 10:30 p.m. ET on Thanksgiving night in a game televised nationally on ESPNEWS. San Diego State and Sacramento State will face off in the other half of Georgia’s bracket at 1 a.m. ET. The other quarterfinal games feature Saint Mary’s versus Harvard at 4 p.m. ET and Saint Joseph’s taking on Washington State at 6:30 p.m.
On Friday, the semifinal for Georgia’s half of the bracket will be at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2, and the consolation contest will be at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPNEWS. The final round will be held on Sunday, Nov. 26, with the 7th-place game at 2:30 p.m. ET, the 5th-place game at 9:30 p.m. ET, the 3rd-place game at 5 p.m. ET on ESPNU and the championship matchup at midnight ET on ESPN2.
Georgia has never appeared in the Wooden Legacy, but the Bulldogs have competed in two other “Wooden” events. Georgia played two thrilling games in their previous trips to the Wooden Classic, losing to Stanford, 76-74, in 1997 and defeating Cal, 78-73 in overtime, in 2002.
All of the games will be played at Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Gym. All 12 games of the 2017 Wooden Legacy will be televised on ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS or ESPN3. All times listed below are Pacific (unless otherwise noted).

The Bulldogs return four starters – including two-time consensus All-SEC forward Yante Maten – and nine of their top-10 scorers from last year’s team that finished 19-15. Head coach Mark Fox enters his ninth season in Athens five wins shy of his 150th victory with the Bulldogs. Fox has led Georgia to four 20-win seasons, tying hall-of-famer Hugh Durham for the most 20-win performances in school history.
