Georgia men’s basketball games with Georgia Tech and Kansas State this season both will air on ESPNU, the Southeastern Conference announced on Wednesday.

 
The Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets will square off in Stegeman Coliseum at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Georgia will face the Wildcats in Manhattan, Kansas, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27 as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
 
 
Georgia sports a 53-30 lead in matchups with its arch rival in Athens and has won the last two meetings – 75-61 in Athens on Dec. 19, 2015 and 60-43 in Atlanta last Dec. 20.
 
 
The Bulldogs will face Kansas State for the third time in the last four seasons. UGA and K-State split a home-and-home series, with Georgia winning in Manhattan during the 2014-15 campaign and the Wildcats taking the rematch in Athens the following season.
 
 
The trip to Kansas State is one of 10 games that will air on the ESPN family of networks on Jan. 27 as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge presented by Sonic. Other contests include noon matchups of Baylor at Florida and Texas Tech at South Carolina; 2 p.m. contests with Ole Miss at Texas and Oklahoma at Alabama; 4 p.m. games featuring TCU at Vanderbilt and Tennessee at Iowa State. Game times for Texas A&M at Kansas and Kentucky at West Virginia are still to be determined, with one contest tipping at 4:30 p.m. and the other at 7 p.m. This will be the third year that a bye in the league schedule for participating teams was created to accommodate the single-day format. The four SEC teams not participating will play each other in conference games the same day. The first two years of the challenge were played over several days in November and December but the 2018 event will be consolidated to one single day in January.
 
 
Head coach Mark Fox will welcome back nine of the Bulldogs’ top-10 scorers from last season when Georgia finished 19-15 and reached postseason play for the fourth consecutive year. All nine of those returnees also started at some point during 2016-17. Headlining that ledger is Yante Maten, a two-time, consensus All-SEC forward. The 6-8, senior is the SEC’s leading returning scorer at 18.2 ppg, while junior Derek Ogbeide is the league’s second-leading returning rebounder at 7.6 rpg.
