ATHENS, Ga. — Virginia native Connor Creasy has signed a national letter of intent to compete for the Georgia men’s golf team, Bulldogs head coach Chris Haack announced on Tuesday.
Creasy attends Abingdon High School. He won three individual state titles and led the Falcons to two team state championships and a dual match record of 199-18. Creasy earned medalist honors in 40 of 52 events and finished with a career average of 68.82, including a low of 60.
Creasy is No. 13 overall and No. 7 among the Class of 2019 nationally, according to the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings.
He recently was named a Second-Team Rolex Junior All-American by the American Junior Golf Association.
Creasy competed in the 2017 U.S. Amateur Championship at Riviera Country Club and advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2018 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club.
“We are happy to have Connor joining our program,” Haack said. “He is an excellent young prospect, and we’re excited to watch him grow both in the classroom and on the golf course. He is going to be a great addition to our team.”
Creasy will join the Bulldogs beginning with the 2019-20 season.
