McCoy, who just completed his junior season with the Bulldogs, and nine other Americans will take on their European collegiate counterparts Friday through Sunday at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. The event will consist of foursome and four-ball matches on Friday and singles matches on Saturday and Sunday. Results can be found at PalmerCup.org.

He joins two-time players Nick Cassini, Brian Harman, Russell Henley, Chris Kirk and Adam Mitchell as well as Erik Compton, Ryan Hybl and Michael Morrison. Coach Chris Haack served two stints as the United States captain.

Harman is the tournament’s defending champion. McCoy earlier received a sponsor exemption for the Travelers Championship June 25-28 in Connecticut.
