The No. 12-ranked Georgia men¹s golf team stands fifth after two rounds of the DICK’S Sporting Goods Collegiate Challenge Cup.
On Friday at the Golf Club of Tennessee, the Bulldogs recorded rounds of 6-over 290 and 2-under 282 for a total of 4-over 572. Virginia has the team lead at 7-under 561.
Senior Lee McCoy is the top Bulldog at 2-under 140 (72-68), good enough for eighth place. Alabama’s Robby Shelton is the individual leader at 8-under 134.
Sophomore Zach Healy landed at 1-over 143 (74-69), followed by senior Sepp Straka at 3-over 145 (71-74), junior Greyson Sigg at 4-over 146 (73-73), and junior Jaime Lopez Rivarola at 11-over 153 (81-72).
The stroke play portion of the Collegiate Challenge Cup will conclude on Saturday. The SEC and ACC will square off in a match-play event on Sunday.
