Alex Diaz, who is the son of Manuel and Suzanne Diaz, rounds out Georgia’s signing class that also includes Nathan Ponwith, the No. 1-ranked player in the nation from Scottsdale, Ariz., Robert Loeb from Hilton Head, S.C., and Alex Phillips from Peachtree City, Ga.

“We’re excited about this outstanding class,” Manuel Diaz said. “One of them is my son, so I have seen him grow up in front of my eyes. The others are kids that we have seen since very early on. They are all friends, and they have a great relationship and they wanted to go to school together. They want to compete for championships, so they are very hungry. I know they are all going to make us proud.”

“I’ve grown up watching the UGA team play and watching my dad coach on court,” Diaz said. “Now it’s my turn to have the experience and I’m excited about it.”
