The UGA men’s tennis team freshman Robert Loeb and sophomore Jan Zielinski climbed to No. 2 in the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association doubles rankings.
The Bulldog duo is currently 20-7 overall dating back to the fall and boasts a 6-3 record against Southeastern Conference opponents this season. The pair also defeated the current No. 1 ranked doubles team, Christian Seraphim and Skander Mansouri from Wake Forest, earlier this year.
In addition to Loeb and Zielinski’s high mark in doubles, Georgia moved up to No. 11 in the team rankings. Wayne Montgomery is ranked 32nd in singles, while Nathan Ponwith moved up to No. 60 and Emil Reinberg climbed to No. 61. In doubles, Ponwith and Reinberg are ranked 65th overall.
This week, Georgia will try to earn the outright SEC regular season championship when the squad heads to Texas A&M on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET. The Aggies come into the match with a 10-1 conference record, while the Bulldogs are 11-0.
