The Georgia men’s tennis team will play its third tournament of the fall this week at the Cajun Classic in Lafayette, La. The four-day tournament begins today, and Georgia will be represented by senior Nick Wood, redshirt sophomore Paul Oosterbaan and freshmen Walker Duncan and Emil Reinberg.
The tournament will feature a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles field. Play begins Thursday at 10 a.m. ET with two rounds of singles, and doubles begins on Friday.
The Cajun Classic will include players from four teams that finished the 2015 season ranked in the top-10 – Georgia, Oklahoma, TCU and USC – in addition to host Louisiana-Lafeyette, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State and LSU. This is the second consecutive year Georgia has played in the Cajun Classic. UGA’s Wayne Montgomery won the singles title as a freshman in 2014.

UP NEXT: Georgia will travel to Tulsa, Okla., for the ITA All-American Championships Oct. 3-11. Selections for the All-American Championships were announced earlier, and Austin Smith and Montgomery received bids to the main draw, while Ben Wagland, Wood and Duncan will begin play in the qualifying draw. Smith and Wagland were chosen for the doubles main draw.
