On Sunday, after Georgia throttled Mississippi State 31-03, Aaron Brule announced his decision to commit to UGA.

 

 
 
Brule hails from Metairie, Louisiana and plays at linebacker and safety for Archbishop Rummel High School’s varsity football team. He is rated as a three-star prospect at safety by 247 sports, ESPN, and Scout while Rivals rate him as a four-star prospect at outside linebacker. At 6 foot 1.5, and 210 lbs Brule has the opportunity to play at either safety or develop into a linebacker at the collegiate level. Not unlike former Bulldogs Thomas Davis and Alec Ogletree.
 
 
And that is part of the reason Brule is a little under rated by the pay sites in my opinion. Much like an athlete, there is some question as to what position he is best suited to play. But there is no denying the athletic ability and talent that Brule possesses for a player his size which has garnered the attention of a number of FBS programs and over 28 scholarship offers.
 
 
It is why the Georgia coaching staff offered Brule back on July 15th. He had been committed to Kansas but decided to reopen his recruitment and de-committed on June 15th. After the Bulldogs offered Brule he put them in his top five schools. Brule was part of a myriad of recruiting prospects in attendance on Saturday for Georgia’s game against Mississippi State. He announced his decision via Twitter on Sunday afternoon.
 
 
Brule becomes the Bulldogs’ 15th commitment and third defensive back for UGA’s 2018 recruiting class, which is nicknamed “RareBreed18.”
