University of Georgia junior pitcher Mike Mancuso has been named to the 2015 SEC Baseball Community Service Team, the league announced Tuesday.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Mancuso, a native of Brecksville, Ohio, has been an active member of the baseball team’s community service efforts throughout his career. This marks the second year in a row he has been honored by the league. His service includes volunteering with the Special Olympics for the past three years, the Toys for Tots campaign, making visits to children’s hospitals in Atlanta and Cleveland and to local elementary schools to read. Recently, he participated in a Leadership Class that featured 10 hours of service with the Salvation Army and Athens Soup Kitchen.
[su_spacer size=”40″] The conference names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.
