Three Georgia men’s tennis players — Emil Reinberg, Jan Zielinski and Philip Henning — have been recognized by league coaches in the annual All-Southeastern Conference postseason awards.

Reinberg and Zielinski earned first-team All-SEC honors, while Henning placed on the conference’s All-Freshman Team.

With Thursday’s announcement, Zielinski has now garnered All-SEC accolades in each of the past three seasons. It marks the second time in four years Reinberg has made the All-SEC squad.

Zielinski has been Georgia’s top singles and doubles player throughout the spring season. The 2017 ITA All-American and three-time All-SEC performer leads the Bulldogs with an impressive 28 singles wins and 18 doubles victories dating back to the fall. Zielinski has recorded a team-high 12 wins against ranked opponents on the singles courts and has teamed with Robert Loeb to go 6-2 against ranked duos in doubles. The Warsaw, Poland, native ranks 13th in Georgia history with 96 career doubles wins and is 16th in Bulldog history with 193 career combined singles and doubles victories.

Reinberg, a native of Atlanta, has played at both the No. 1 and 2 singles courts this season for the Bulldogs. He is tied for second on the team with 17 overall wins, including five victories at the top singles position. In doubles, Reinberg and fellow senior Walker Duncan play at the No. 2 spot, where they have teamed together to go 8-4 in dual-match play. The Bulldog senior has put together a great career that has included, among other accomplishments, a 2017 SEC Tournament Most Valuable Player honor and a pair of All-SEC postseason honors.

Henning, who just joined the team this past January, has made an immediate impact during his rookie campaign. The two-time SEC Freshman of the Week is 14-7 overall in singles, while he and his freshman teammate Trent Bryde boast a 7-3 record on the No. 3 doubles court. Henning, who missed three matches due to injury, is a perfect 4-0 against players ranked in the ITA national rankings.
