MTENNIS: UGA Finishes in the Top Ten for the 36th Time

Following a trip to the quarterfinals of the 2021 NCAA Championships, the Georgia men’s tennis team came in at No. 9 nationally in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings that were released Wednesday. 

Head Coach Manuel Diaz has led the Bulldogs to an impressive 27 top-10 finishes in his 32 full seasons leading the Bulldogs, while the program has finished in the top-10 on 36 occasions overall.

 

 

 

 

This year’s team posted a 17-7 overall record and earned a third-place spot in the Southeastern Conference standings. Junior Trent Bryde garnered ITA All-America status for the fourth time in his career, while sophomore Tyler Zink was tabbed to the All-America team for the second-straight season. 

Georgia won 11 of its last 14 matches this year, including a 4-3 victory against No. 6 North Carolina in the NCAA Round of 16.
