Philip Henning

The University of Georgia men’s tennis team — winner of four-straight Southeastern Conference matches — moved up to No. 11 in this week’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.

The Bulldogs jumped two spots from a No. 13 national mark last week. Head coach Manuel Diaz’s team has won five of the last six contests overall, including a victory against UCF, which landed at No. 13 in this week’s poll.

Individually, Georgia’s doubles duo of Trent Bryde and Tyler Zink moved up one spot from No. 7 to No. 6, while the tandem of Blake Croyder and Billy Rowe jumped 16 spots to No. 48.

Bryde and Zink have teamed together for a 12-4 overall mark, including a 3-0 record against ranked opponents. Croyder and Rowe sport a 6-3 record at the No. 2 doubles court.

Bryde came in at No. 21 in the singles rankings to lead the Bulldogs. Junior Philip Henning made the largest leap in the rankings from No. 29 to No. 25, while Zink came in at No. 89.

Georgia takes its win streak on the road this Friday with a trip to Fayetteville, Ark., to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks. First serve is slated for 5 p.m. ET (4 p.m. CT).
