College football’s National Signing Day, or NSD for short, is on Wednesday, February 1st, and we would like to invite you to come to Athens, Georgia and join us and all your fellow Bulldawg fans.
There are several locations to enjoy taking in the sights and sounds of NSD in The Classic City from the Five Bar restaurant to the Blind Pig Tavern and UGA’s Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall.
FIVE BAR RESTAURANT
The Original Signing Day Crew will host a gathering at the Five Bar restaurant starting at 8 a.m. ET on Wednesday morning. There will be NSD coverage of announcements and more; plus, Five-Bar is making a special NSD brunch menu available that you can order from. BLIND PIG TAVERN
Another spot that will be hosting Georgia fans and providing coverage for NSD will be the Blind Pig Tavern. They have three locations in Athens with the downtown location off of E. Washington Street (shown on map above). The other two locations are on the Westside at 2440 W. Broad St. and on the Eastside at 2301 College Station Rd.
“All 3 locations will be serving up breakfast! Eastside & Westside will have our traditional breakfast buffet, and our downtown store will be serving our delicious brunch menu!!! Just like last year, our Eastside store will have a shuttle running to and from the Butts-Meher building from 8AM-2PM. Also, 960 THE REF will broadcast LIVE from our Eastside location.”

BUTTS-MEHRE HERITAGE HALL
University of Georgia’s Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall will be open to the public, but the set-up will be a little different on NSD than on most other standard business days. There will be coverage from the rotunda in the Georgia Bulldog Hall of Fame area. There should be a shuttle service that runs from downtown to the Butts-Mehre building.
PARKING:
You will want to be mindful of where you park since the Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall is on campus and is under the University of Georgia Parking Service. There are places for visitors to park, however. The closest parking deck for visitors is the Carlton Street Parking Deck which is approximately a 1/3 of a mile from the Butts-Mehre building, about a 6 to 7-minute walk.
Here are the parking fees if you choose to use the Carlton Street Parking Deck.
If you have any questions about parking on campus, please call 706-542-PARK (7275) or you can visit Parking.UGA.edu
