Former Georgia Bulldog running back Nick Chubb had himself a day on Sunday running over, through, and past the Ravens in Cleveland’s 40-25 victory over Baltimore. Chubb put up 165 yards and 3 touchdowns on 20 carries, including this run that he took 88-yards to the house.

If that run looked like Chubb had JATO rockets mounted on his legs and was accelerating for takeoff, you wouldn’t be that far off. Chubb nearly reached 22 mph on his trip to the end zone per Next Gen Stats.

Chubb also had a 14-yard touchdown run where he left four Ravens grabbing air and introduced them to the field.

On the season through 4 games, Chubb has 78 carries for 398 yards and 4 touchdowns along with 14 receptions for 99 yards. Last year, as a rookie, Chubb played in 16 games for the Browns and gained 996 yards on 192 carries, scoring 8 touchdowns, and caught 20 passes for 149 yards and an additional 2 scores. But this is nothing new for Georgia fans who saw the tailback from Cedartown, GA do herculean efforts between the hedges as a Bulldog on Saturdays.
Chubb was a part of the University of Georgia’s 2014 recruiting class, signing out fo Cedartown High School. In his four seasons with the Dawgs, Chubb earned accolades, awards, and honors to fill a book. Chubb accomplishments came despite a devastating knee injury he suffered his sophomore season in Georgia’s sixth game versus Tennessee up in Knoxville where he tore three ligaments. No. 21 would come back for his junior season and despite the doubters and nay-sayers, would rush for 1,130 yards on 224 carries and scoring 8 touchdowns. Surprising NFL analysis, media, and fans, Nick Chubb made the decision to return for his senior season instead of declaring for the 2017 NFL Draft along with fellow tailback Sony Michel, who is also running amok in the NFL nowadays with the New England Patriots.
During his senior season, Chubb would tote the rock 223 times for 1,345 yards and 15 touchdowns helping the Bulldogs win the 2017 SEC Championship, the Rose Bowl, and a berth to play in the 2017 College Football National Championship game. Chubb would finish with 4,769 career rushing yards, which is only second in UGA school history and in the Southeastern Conference behind the legendary Herschel Walker. His 44 career touchdowns are also only second to Walker in school history. Chubb had twenty-four games where he rushed for at least 100-yards or more and had three 200-yard games.
