The Georgia softball team will have nine of its games broadcast nationally during the 2018 season on the SEC Network and ESPNU per an announcement by the SEC on Tuesday.
In addition to its five nationally-televised home games, 25 games at Jack Turner Stadium will be available for viewing exclusively on the SEC Network+ available on the ESPN app and on SECNetwork.com through participating providers. Every home SEC game can be viewed online including six early-season tournament games and seven non-conference midweek contests. A majority of Georgia’s road conference games will be available on SEC Network+.
All nine nationally-televised games will be SEC contests including complete series against Arkansas (Mar. 10-12) and at Tennessee (Mar. 31-Apr. 2). The other three matchups include Missouri (Apr. 7), Alabama (Apr. 28), and at Ole Miss (May 4).
The SEC Network Bases Loaded – a three-hour special presentation featuring all 12 SEC teams – will air on May 4. Georgia’s 7 p.m., ET, game at Ole Miss will be featured as part of the Bases Loaded coverage.
The SEC Network will air the first and second rounds of the SEC Tournament May 9-10 in Columbia, Missouri. Semifinal action will be broadcast on ESPNU with the championship matchup to air live on ESPN May 12.
Georgia, ranked #25 in the USA Today/NFCA Preseason Coaches Poll, begins the 2018 campaign next Thursday in Tempe, Arizona in the Kjikawa Classic.
