The Georgia Bulldogs will host Belmont on Wednesday in a first-round matchup of the National Invitation Tournament at 7 p.m. ET.

Georgia a No. 3 seed in the 32-team field, while Belmont is a No. 6 seed. The Bruins are 20-11 overall were 12-4 en route to winning the Ohio Valley Conference regular-season title.

“Belmont has had a great year,” head coach Mark Fox said. “They’re very efficient offensively. Obviously, our team will have to play very well to have a chance to win.”

Georgia enters the NIT with a 19-13 overall record, one victory shy of a third-straight 20-win campaign. The Bulldogs have posted three straight 20-win campaigns only one other time in 111 seasons of competition – from 1995-96 through 1997-98.

Georgia sports a balanced offensive attack with four double-digit scorers.

J.J. Frazier, who earlier on Sunday was named to the All-SEC Tournament team and also honored as the State of Georgia’s Player of the Year by the Atlanta Tipoff Club, averages a team-high 17.0 ppg. Yante Maten, who along with Frazier was tabbed second-team All-SEC in voting of league coaches, averages 16.2 ppg and a team-high 8.0 rpg.

Seniors Kenny Gaines and Charles Mann add 13.3 ppg and 10.4 ppg, respectively. Gaines and Mann are only the third classmates among Georgia’s top-20 career scoring leaders, joining James Banks and Vern Fleming (1981-84) and Shandon Anderson and Carlos Strong (1993-96). Mann is currently No. 15 on Georgia’s career scoring ledger with 1,375 points, while Gaines is No. 19 with 1,301.

The Bulldogs will be making their 13th appearance in the NIT, most recently in 2014. Georgia advanced to the semifinals in both 1982 and 1988.
