Tuesday’s practice seemed to shape-up like every other practice, however, Kirby Smart made the decision to shake things up for a few players. There were three position changes Tuesday. Michael Barnett, Tae Crowder, and Shakenneth Williams all were practicing with different groups.
From Defensive end to Offensive Tackle:
Sophomore, Michael Barnett went from being a defensive end to the offensive line. The 6-foot-4 294-pound athlete should fit right in with the rest of the offensive line. Sam Pittman was pushing him just like the other linemen, but also making sure he was grasping the concepts.
Tyler Catalina was helping him throughout the drills and showing him the way. He appeared gave him tips on footwork and other techniques.
Barnett was wearing No. 52 instead of his regular No. 94. He has yet to see any playing time yet this year, so the switch could either lead to some playing time or possibly a redshirt.
Switching Sides:
Tae Crowder has made the switch to linebacker from tailback this week. He was taking reps and seem to be adapting well.
Shakenneth Williams moved from wide receiver to defensive back.
