Georgia continued to prepare for Southern University Wednesday afternoon. The number one job for coaches and team leadership this week is to keep player attention on execution. Everyone is aware that Southern U. should pose no problem to the Bulldog. However, recent college football history is sprinkled with examples of Power 5 teams losing to FCS teams when the lesson of Goliath was lost.

One way to maintain focus is to remind players of lapses with extreme volume and colorful expressions. The staff was firing away Wednesday afternoon. One young player was invited to “go back to his dorm” if he could not execute a drill properly. Every position group was on notice that no lack of focus would be tolerated.
