What life lessons did you learn while at UGA?
There is a really big world out there.
What professor did you admire most?
I’ll go with Dr. Debbie Phillips. She taught me apartments were communities, not complexes.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Marrying my wife. I think she dumped me about seven times. All I had to do was dump her once to end up marrying her. She’s blessed me with two amazing children.
What historical figure do you most identify with?
This is a tough one, but I strive each day to be more like the man who found purpose with the creation of a perennial leather suit.
Who are your heroes in real life?
My dad. He’s a true follower of the God-given mandate. His work ethic and willingness to sacrifice are limitless. My wife. Her ability to rebound in Indianapolis in 2021 speaks volumes to her determination and character.
Quote to live by:
“Courage cannot be counterfeited. It is but one virtue that escapes hypocrisy.”
What is your idea of perfect happiness? Living in the present moment, unplugged, surrounded by friends and family.
What is your most marked characteristic? Loyalty.
What do you value most in your friends?
Honesty and humor.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I could use another 60 yards off the tee.
Who are your favorite writers?
Sir Thomas Carlyle. His philosophies exist outside the boundaries of space and time.
Favorite social media and who to follow?
I think social media may be the single best example of church clothes in our society, and I’m no dandy.
