Reggie Carter and Michael Chigbu are among twenty UGA student-athletes who have been formally invited to the annual Terry College of Business Alumni and Awards Gala on Saturday, April 22.

Those who will attend include distinguished Terry alumni, young alumni, and Pinnacle Society inductees. This year marks the largest number of student-athletes invited to the event. At the Gala, student-athletes will have the opportunity not only to experience the event before becoming alumni themselves but to network with those in their fields of interest.

Former Student-Athletes include: Charles Johnson, Mohamed Massaquoi, Matt Stinchcomb, Marcus Thornton, Ben Watson, and Kirsten Watson.

The event includes an award ceremony, dinner, and an auction. The gala also serves as a fundraiser event for Terry College.

University of Georgia Athletic Association deputy director of athletics Dr. Carla Williams serves on the Terry Alumni board. She has been a driving force in connecting Terry student-athletes with this event.

“We have a lot of student-athletes in Terry, a lot of student-athletes that are interested in Terry but a lot of the programming that we’re learning from Terry can be applied across majors for our student-athletes,” said Williams. “The event is just one of those resources that we’re hoping to not only enhance and promote the gala for Terry but to also utilize as a resource for our student-athletes. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our student-athletes. They get to meet people they ordinarily meet and they get to work on their career development skills. We’re really looking forward to it and we’re very thankful for the relationship that we have with Terry.”

The event is located at the Intercontinental Buckhead, 3315 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta.
