Roquan Smith knows first-hand the pressures of being a high school recruit. Perhaps that is one reason he was chosen to speak to campers at the Kirby Smart Varsity Overnight Camp.
When asked by a camper why he chose Georgia, Smith said that as he reconsidered his original commitment he reminded himself that he wanted to live in the State after football. That long-term plan made UGA his choice. You may remember that Smith originally committed to UCLA but changed his mind when he discovered that the Bruins’ defensive coordinator would leave right after signing day.
Roquan advised the campers, “set goals, avoid distractions and get the grades.” He further reminded them, “priorities are on you.”
Does my heart good to see this … Stay focused son!! Possibilities are endless!!!U0001f618
