Satellite Camps Plan for UGA – “We don’t know yet”

Kirby Smart was in Macon as part of his UGA Day speaking tour, yesterday. Just before the event he answered a few questions from the assembled media. Of course, Georgia’s approach to the newly re-authorized (by NCAA) satellite camps was a hot topic.
 
 
Fans will remember that Kirby’s answer to a question about camps during another appearance in Macon back in February provided material for Michigan’s coach Jim Harbaugh to flame Coach Smart on Twitter.
 


 
 
Harbaugh’s remarks were in response to this comment by Kirby Smart:
 

 
 
Now that SEC has allowed its rule that prohibited satellite camps by member institutions to expire (effective in late May), Kirby is in the process of figuring out how best to utilize his coaching staff to maximize the program’s exposure at satellite camps while continuing to provide evaluation opportunities on campus.
