#13/19 Georgia softball takes to the road for a three-game set with Southeastern Conference rival #5/7 Alabama this weekend. The series will begin Saturday at 12 p.m., EDT, on ESPN2.
Sunday and Monday’s games will air on SEC Network at 7 p.m., EDT.

A Look Back
Georgia won its second-consecutive SEC series over the weekend in Athens, defeating Texas A&M. The Bulldogs powered past the Aggies in the opener 11-5 then clinched the series in game two 4-3. Georgia looked to sweep the Aggies, holding a 3-2 lead through five innings on Sunday, but a three-run sixth pushed Texas A&M ahead to salvage a game, 5-3.

The Bulldogs dropped a spot to #13 in the week nine USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll while falling to #19 in the USA Softball/ESPN.com Poll.
Coaching Milestones
With a win this weekend, Lu Harris-Champer could record her 1,100th-career victory as a head coach. A win would also be her 300th SEC win. 300 conference wins ranks behind Alabama’s Patrick Murphy who recorded SEC win number 400 earlier this season.
With 1,099 wins, Harris-Champer ranks fourth among active coaches in the SEC behind Ralph and Karen Weekly (1,380; 1,102) and Jo Evans (1,217).
DiCarlo Continues to Topple Career Records
In the Mar. 10 game against Western Illinois at Jack Turner Stadium, Alyssa DiCarlo became Georgia’s new all-time home runs leader. She hit two home runs in the game to tie then break the record with home runs 58 and 59.
In the first inning at Auburn (Mar. 29), DiCarlo doubled down the left field line to plate CJ Landrum, recording career RBI 237 and breaking Georgia’s all-time career RBI record.
The extra-base hits record fell in the series finale against Texas A&M (Apr. 7) with a two-run home run in the first inning. It was career extra-base hit 122 (53 doubles, 4 triples, 65 home runs).

With a first-inning home run against Texas A&M on Apr. 7, Alyssa DiCarlo became the fastest Bulldog to hit 20 home runs, doing it in 41 games. Alisa Goler held the previous mark, doing it in 47 games in 2009. Only five Bulldogs have topped the 20-home run mark. DiCarlo joins Alex Hugo as the only Bulldogs to do it twice. DiCarlo had 21 last season.
