The University of Georgia softball program and the Southeastern Conference have announced the conference schedule for the upcoming 2021 season.
The Bulldogs will open conference play Mar. 19-21 when the Missouri Tigers come to Jack Turner Stadium. The Bulldogs’ other home series will feature Florida (Apr. 2-4), Arkansas (Apr. 16-18), and Alabama (Apr. 30-May 2).
Road series for the Dawgs will include trips to Ole Miss (Mar. 26-28), Kentucky (Apr. 9-11), Tennessee (Apr. 23-25), and finally at Mississippi State (May 7-9).
Games are scheduled to be played Friday/Saturday/Sunday. One weekly conference series will be played Saturday/Sunday/Monday, with the Monday night game featured on the SEC Network. There will also be an opportunity to make up postponed contests on May 3-5 as a midweek doubleheader.
The University of Alabama is set to host the 2021 SEC Softball Tournament at Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa May. 12-15.
The 2021 season will be the 25th season of Georgia softball in Athens and the 21st under head coach Lu Harris-Champer. Georgia concluded the shortened 2020 season 23-5.
Georgia’s non-conference opponents and tournaments will be announced at a later date. Details regarding fan attendance at Jack Turner Stadium will also be announced closer to the start of the season.
